The commitment to the development of communities present in the southern zone of Chile is a hallmark for which Transmarko and the companies of the Skorpios Group have been recognized over time.
It is worth noting that almost all of the workers were born in the same region where they work. Proof of this is that Anestis Kochifas, a Greek citizen, arrived in the area and decided to settle on the Island of Chiloé, where he formed his home by marrying Mariana Cárcamo, from which Constantino Kochifas Cárcamo, founder of the Skorpios Group, was born.


This has allowed forging a special relationship with the territory, since not only the members of the company have witnessed the development of the business and its impact on day-to-day life, but also their families and neighbors.
Therefore, the social commitment of the company and the group has been persistently materialized in the implementation of programs that benefit the local community, both in areas of education, health and infrastructure, actively collaborating to promote the social and economic development of people to improve the quality of life and social welfare of their neighbors, union leaders, the world of artisanal fishing, neighborhood associations and the many inhabitants of islands far from the large urban centers of our country.
TRANSMARKO and the Skorpios Group have permanently accompanied over the last decades the communities where they operate in the southern zone of the country, which have improved the quality of life and social welfare of neighbors, union leaders, the world of artisanal fishing and even inhabitants of remote islands in the south of the country.
Contribution made together with AquaChile companies to the Mechuque community, where a refurbished fire truck was imported from Germany to donate it to the Social Emergency Committee of the commune.
Transmarko and the Skorpios Group contributed the first vessel for maritime-port emergency control in Puerto Montt, providing tools to fight fires at sea and along the entire coast of the Reloncaví Estuary.
Together with AquaChile Companies, 200 tons of metal waste were removed from the town of Puerto Aguirre, in the Aysén Region, which were collected for a month by the inhabitants of the towns of Estero Copa, Caleta Andrade and Puerto Aguirre.
TRANSMARKO in alliance with AquaChile Companies donated a School Bus to the Capitán Juan Ladrillero school, which favored greater connectivity for the more than 500 benefited children, which also positively impacts the families of the Puerto Natales commune.

TRANSMARKO has implemented standards that guarantee the quality of its service, respect for the environment and energy efficiency, obtaining ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification, 14001:2015 Environmental Management and 50001:2018 on Energy Management systems.
These certifications, issued by the International Certification House ABS Quality Evaluations, have allowed it to timely meet the requirements of its clients, through the diversification of its fleet with optimal operating conditions, adequate planning and service commitment.
With this objective, the TRANSMARKO team faces daily work through a process approach that mitigates pollution risks, complies with current energy and environmental legislation and any other requirement that applies to its productive and service activities.
In this way, multiple competencies have been developed in the Shipping Company team with the objective of satisfying the different needs of an environmentally responsible operation, which can efficiently meet customer requirements, for which comprehensive training has been prioritized.
In this way, the TRANSMARKO team has prepared to comply with the standard established within its Integrated Management System, which has implied the commitment of each of its collaborators to improve their processes -so as to make them more efficient- and strengthen their energy and environmental performance.
In turn, the team is committed to the continuous improvement of the practical knowledge that land and on-board personnel have regarding safety management, as well as the degree of preparedness to deal with emergency situations that may affect safety, energy performance and the environment.


The Quality Management System certified under ISO 9001:2015 seeks to timely satisfy the implicit and explicit requirements of clients ensuring good service with high standards of efficiency and quality.

The Environmental Management System certified under ISO 14001:2015 promotes practices that avoid waste generation -reuse, recycling and proper management of hazardous, non-hazardous and domestic waste, promoting the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity.

The Energy Management System certified under ISO 50001:2018 aims to reduce GHG emissions through new technologies and efficient use of fuels, with the objective of achieving carbon neutrality.
